Bonjour!
I’m Joan, a fun and energetic French-born Dorset wedding photographer.
As a Dorset wedding photographer, I capture elegant and relaxed weddings with a natural, editorial approach. My work is centred on honesty and atmosphere. Rather than directing every moment, I document the day as it unfolds. At the same time, I create images that feel refined, effortless, and timeless.
Based in Dorset, I photograph weddings across the South West, London, and throughout the UK and Europe. Whether you’re planning an intimate countryside celebration or a larger, design-led wedding, my focus remains the same. I aim to create photographs that feel considered, without ever feeling staged.

However, the most important thing to know is this: even after more than 10 years of photographing weddings, I still feel incredibly excited about every single one.
In fact, I truly thrive on making people feel happy and at ease on their day. Because of this, becoming a documentary wedding photographer felt like a natural fit.

Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to photograph weddings across the UK and internationally. From London to France, Sicily, and the United States, each celebration has been unique. As a result, my experience allows me to adapt to different settings, styles, and cultures.
What Drives Me
Above all, it’s the emotion of a wedding day that inspires me. Love, connection, and genuine moments are at the heart of everything I do.
The excitement a child feels in a sweet shop is honestly how I feel about weddings. Even now, I still get butterflies. From the first enquiry to the final delivery of your images, that excitement never fades.
Because of this, I approach every wedding with the same level of energy and care.

I am one of the few full-time Dorset wedding photographers with over 10 years of experience. During that time, I’ve had the privilege of working at some of the most beautiful and prestigious venues in the region.
As a result, I understand how to work seamlessly within each setting while creating images that feel natural, elevated, and true to your day.

I love living in Dorset and I love documenting weddings as a photographer; witnessing love and pure happiness never gets old! Wedding photography is something I simply cannot get bored of. At the present time, I have shot over 200 weddings across Dorset & London and can honestly say no two weddings are the same! As well as photographing weddings, I also photograph families and business clients in a creative non obtrusive way, which creates the most beautiful story telling images.
I work in a way that allows you to be fully present on your wedding day. Rather than directing or interrupting, I quietly observe — capturing the natural rhythm of the day as it happens.
There’s a balance to my approach. Alongside documentary coverage, I offer gentle guidance when needed, particularly during portraits, ensuring you feel comfortable while making the most of the light and surroundings. The result is a collection of images that feel both natural and elevated.

My preference is not to pose or stage you or your guest, my style is natural, candid and documentary or as I like to call it “fly on the wall.” Whilst I am a Bournemouth-based wedding photographer, I also travel all over the world!

My top ten absolute favourite wedding venues in Dorset and Hampshire are in no particular order : St Giles, Somerley House, Limewood Hotel, Avington Park, The Pig on the Beach and here too, Abbots court, Minterne house, Deans court, Lulworth Castle.
